Question : I'm 41. When I was 20 I took accutane and my (severe) acne cleared up completely for almost 20 years (I mean, not a pimple). Last year it started coming back (cystic, mostly). My Dr. put me on Absorica, and it worked for about five months, but now my acne is coming back--if fact it's worse. I know Absorica is a new drug--would I be better off trying another round with a more tried and true brand? Thanks so much!

Brief Answer:
Suggest Absorica which is a true brand

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear. Thanks for giving me an opportunityt to answer your query.

Absorica is a true brand with USFDA approval & comes from one of the reputed pharma company(Ranbaxy).

You must be having a nodular/nodulocystic acne. You may upload the photo of the blemishes if you wish to. Based on the details provided, If I were your treating physician, I would suggest another round of this drug provided there is 8 weeks gap between your previous cycle and current one which you are going to start. It should be taken for 15 to 20 weeks.

Hope this answers your query.
