Brief Answer:
The lining of the eye gets irritated, you need to follow treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Dr. Hanif warmly Welcomes you to my virtual clinic HCM!
I have carefully worked through your case, and can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I will take care all of your medical concerns.

The lining of the eye gets irritated and it is causing the problems of irritation and redness. Inflammation and itching worsens the situation. That's why it is sensitive to UV light too.

Management for the eye issues you have:-
Wash the eye with normal tap water many times a day.
Tablet Fexofenadine twice daily.
Femicone eye drops in the affected eye (first day 3 times, then 2 times a day 2 drops only until the eyes gets better).
Ibuprofen 800mg three times a day on first day, then twice daily until inflammation settles down with no itching etc.

Precautions to be observed:
Avoid excessive coffee, tea, chocolates and energy drinks.
No soda, alcohol, no cigarette.
Avoid horse riding or any other sports until issue resolved.
No bike riding. Avoid dryness of eye.
Avoid direct air into the eye.
Use sunglasses when outside. I am happy to know you already do that.

Have a wonderful time ahead. Hope I answered all of your questions. Let me know if you have any further clinical concerns or doubts. I will be more than happy to get back to you in no time. If satisfied here, please give a generous five star rating and don't forget to close the discussion.
For any disease you have, a timely follow-up after sometime regarding the treatment efficacy and to see any need to change the treatment options is very necessary. Keep a follow up some days after this visit session ends.
