Brief Answer:
I will not recommend further testing!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

True the antibiotics could have influenced the test result. With negative testing, it means the antibiotics were at least effective on the germs and thus must have treated the infection fully.

Given the duration of this diarrhea, I will suggest that you review his diet. The diet might be the cause given the recent trend of symptoms. I will suggest that you review his diet and only allow what has be there for a long time. If there are any recent changes in his diet, please withdraw and introduce one at a time to make sure he’s tolerating all of them.

I wish your son well. Keep me posted on the progress of your son. There is no need for further testing at this time.

Brief Answer:
IBD and IBS are not for persons of his age!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

These disease conditions are really not for persons in his age group/. He cannot have them now. If your child is eating and drinking normally, then there is no reason for any further worries about him as this could be physiological.

Twice daily stools are not worrisome and I will not prescribe any aggressive measures in this light. I will rather suggest that monitor only at this time. Spontaneous resolution would be anticipated.

Keep me posted about his progress. I wish you well.

Regards
