Question : Yes, thank you. I have been treated with Permethrin for scabies twice, still feeling some itching under armpit, for three days since last treatment I am experiencing gas and loose stools light in color and most of the time it is more like a discharge with a few of light mustard color specks. My Dr. Told me to have another treatment 5 days after the last treatment I am concern about liver damage. Is this normal reaction to the treatment?

Brief Answer:
Permethrin is well tolerated

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I can understand your concern.

It is very likely for scabies to relapse.

Your doctor has rightly prescribed the second treatment .

Permethrin is usually well tolerated and liver dysfunction is unlikely.

The loose stool will subside soon.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you
