Brief Answer:
Obstruction in leg vascular system, rule out diabetes,

Detailed Answer:
HI, XXXXXX,
Thanks for posting query.
Looking to the history it seems that there might be having some vascular obstruction in venous circulation giving rise to this problem.
Due to vascular obstruction if there is long standing on legs there might be having swelling on lower leg causing venous congestion and edema leading to pain and swelling.
There might be having varicose vein or deep vain thrombosis.
You might require ultra sound or color Doppler to find out varicose vein or clot in left leg.
Consult vascular surgeon and get examined and investigated.
Rule out diabetes as well as there might be having possibility of Diabetic foot.
Therefore go for blood sugar testing fasting and PPBS.
Meanwhile take Diclophenac, paracetamol combination medicine when needed.
Raise left leg while resting as this will reduce swelling and pain temporarily.
After all reports plan of treatment can be decided.
Quit smoking if you are smoking.
I hope, I answered your query.
If you have further query or clarification, please write back.
I wish speedy recovery from your sufferings.
Ok and take care.
