Question : Hi I have an allergic reaction to beard XXXXXXX which is red, irritated and formed bumps which are oozing a clear fluid that itches as well. My wife has a tube of proctosol-hc 2.5% which contains 25 mg of hydrocortisone in each gram. Should I use it... If not what do I use?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Yes, you can use the proctosol to help relieve the itching and discomfort. IF this is not strong enough, you may need a prescription strength steroid cream.

In addition to the proctosol you can use an oral and topical antihistamine (may be able to find one over the counter at your local pharmacies).
The oral antihistamines would be over the counter as well eg benadryl, allegra, claritine, zyrtec


Eg of topical antihistamines are ivarest
