Question : Im asking this question for my mom. She has this red bump on inside of her thigh near some veins. It started out itchy a few days ago and now it burns a little.
Brief Answer:
it might be a fungal infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I read carefully your query and evaluated the picture you send.
It seems to be a fungal infection.I would suggest to apply an otc antifungal cream like Clotrimazole twice a day for 1 week.If it doesn't seem to help ,then it might be a form of eczema and a mild steroid cream like hydrocortizone may help.
Hope it helps.
Let me know if you need further help.

Hello,
Usually skin inflammations or infections doesn't really hurt when pressed. She can start the antifungal cream and see if helps.
If not she may start an mild steroid cream like hydrocortizone for few days and if this doesn't improve it either ,then she may need to get it examined.
