Suggest Treatment For Red Bumps On The Penis

Question: I woke up with a red rash with bumps on penis head a few days ago and there is a slight burn sensation here and there

Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all, it is sad to know what you had been experiencing lately.

Based on the history you have shared, and the images it can be yeast infection or candiasis if you are sexually active. You need to screen your partner too if possible as both of you might need to be treated with antifungal. If it's burning and blisters or red spots become vesicular or swollen it should also be reviewed for herpes as early herpes can also present like this.

You need to be reviewed by your primary physician to discuss to start anti fungals like fluconazole as well as analgesic like acetaminophen. STD screen may also be needed and I would suggest you to use condom or barrier methods for time being or refrain from intercourse for few days.

I'm taking an std screening today..if it all comes negative.then is it most likely to be a yeast infection? & should my partner also take a std screening if I come out negative?
