Suggest Treatment For Red Colored Itchy Bumps On The Body

default
Posted on Wed, 24 May 2017
Question: Symptoms: Itching, Iichy Bumps, red coloured. (Dermitologist said it is URTICARIA)
I think it won't be because of food, not much exposure to sun, no blood transfusions.

Test results:
------------
IMMUNOGLOBULIN ig E 63.51
Triiodo Thyronine (T3) 114.80
Thyroxine (T4) 8.41
Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) 1.35

After medication suggested by Dermitologist and replaed with OLSAR-M 50 with OLSAR-20 (using it since 1 year for BP), no signs of relief.

Please help me in getting it cure.

1) Is this because of RIRS surgery?
2) Is this because of OLSAR-M 50 replaced with OLSAR-20 from 18-03-2017?
3) Any cause of bite stint?
4) If not above, any other reason could be?
5) If not sure, What more tests I should give to narrow down the problem cause.

Brief Answer:
Causes of urticaria and investigations to be done

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at HealthcareMagic
I have gone through your history and you seem to be having urticaria.
Your serum IgE levels and thyroid function tests are normal.
There are many causes of urticaria ranging from infection, drugs, allergies to food presevatives and artificial colours, autoimmune and in one third of the patients it occurs without any cause.
I would recommend you to undergo some more investigations so that they help us in finding out the cause.
These are complete blood count, routine urinalysis, stool examination for ova and cysts, absolute eosinophil count and anti TPO levels.
I don't think it is due to RIRS surgery or due to olsar 20.
It can be due to some other medicines injected during the surgery or due to tablet resulife F.
Urticaria is very common after bites.
We need to find out the cause or atleast exclude common causes.
Are you developing the urticarial lesions daily or sometimes?
You have mentioned about taking atarax and montair LC tablets. Did they subside the attacks of urticaria?

Thanks a lot for your quick and elaborate answer.

Yes. Developing the urticarial lesions daily.
Yes. Atarax and montair LC tablets are subside the attack of urticaria. The dose was completed two days back. Now the problem bounced back.

Replaced Resulife F with REMETOR F 10MG for few days to check whether Resulife is culprit. Still urticarial lesions exists. So, again started using Resulife F. If that is the curprit, shall I ask my doctor to replace the medicine? Would it subside the attack?

You have suggested few tests. Can you please let me know priority of them, then I would go for them withe priority not at once.

Appreciate your response.

Brief Answer:
No need to replace resulife F at present

Detailed Answer:
Even after replacing resulife F you were having urticarial lesions.
So most likely it's not the culprit in your case.
No need to get it replaced right now.
Regarding the tests complete blood count, urinalysis and stool for ova and cysts will help in finding out any subclinical infection, absolute eosinophil count will rule out parasitic and allergic causes and Anti TPO is to exclude autoimmune cause.
In autoimmune cases urticaria usually takes a long time to resolve.

Brief Answer:
AntiTPO levels are normal, continue with atarax & montair LC

Detailed Answer:
Anti TPO levels are normal.
Your urticaria is most likely idiopathic without any cause or due to some medicines injected during the surgery.
I would recommend you to continue with tablet montair LC and atarax for a longer time like another 4-6 weeks and then taper slowly.
