Brief Answer:
You can drain the pus.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The presence of pain and swelling is suggestive of an infection in the area. If possible aspirate the pus from the bump and also treat yourself with a course of antibiotics.
Clean the area using a diluted hydrogen peroxide solution till you get a red or pink colored discharge underneath it or active bleeding is seen. Bleeding helps in removing the infection and early healing of the wound.
Next apply bacitracin or neosporin or soframycin ointment or antibiotic powder over the area an cover it with a thin cotton cloth and preferably bandage it to keep the area covered to prevent it from further infections.
Use of antiinflammatory analgesics such as Ibuprofen may help in reducing the pain / redness and swelling.
In case the swelling or pain increases then do consult a physician for proper medicines.
I hope this answers your query.
