Brief Answer:
take him to ER or a physician; follow as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Welcome to HCM.
This is Dr. Swarnava Dattagupta answering your query.

I have gone through your query and understand your concern.
First of all, it would be very useful if you could share a picture of the burn area.
Secondly, a burn in face of a 1-year old child is an emergency and should be dealt with utmost care. Chances of infection are very high following it and hence good coverage of antibiotic should be there. Alongwith, pain control is very important.
My suggestion would be to take the child to ER or a doctor. There he can be checked clinically. Thorough cleaning with debridement if required and regular dressing with antibiotic soaked gauze is important. The redness and contraction of skin is common after burn and with proper treatment also, it might take time to resolve. That will depend upon depth of burn. Hence clinical examination is required.

Hope this was useful.
Regards.
