Question : I was sick from a upper respiratory infection Then a cough. Went to the doctor and gave me antibiotics and cotin syrup. All other symptoms when away except red throat and headaches this is been going on for 5 weeks

As you are having red throat for last 5 weeks, you should be evaluated for streptococcal infection. I would suggest you to undergo following investigations. 1.Complete haemogram and ESR 2.Throat Swab 3.ASO titres 4.ECG and 2 D Echo.
