Question : My vagina is painful to touch, amin peels, red and itchy.
Brief Answer:
mixed vaginosis
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
The presence of itching, redness and pain indicates presence of mixed vaginosis infection, both fungal and bacterial. This can be confirmed with a high vaginal swab culture. You would have to be started on antifungals and antibiotics for a week after confirmation of infection. Please meet your gynecologist for a per speculum exam and vaginal swab soon.
