Question: Hi

My doctor says that there was a gamma Spike at 1,28 and a elevated IgM that is both more likely from the Relvlimid.

Any chance that I am starting to get resistant to Velcade and Remlivid?

Brief Answer:
You may have relapse of multiple myeloma.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

Resistance is usually the term associated to infection and antibiotics. You were in remission phase of multiple myeloma and now your Ig M and gamma spikes. It suggest that you may have relapse of multiple myeloma.

You were taking linalidomide and bortezumab. Linalidomide(remlivid) is very toxic drug. Both drug are used as treatment of choice for induction of chemotherapy. But you have gamma and IgM spikes with these drugs. In my opinion, you should think of autologous stem cell transplantation. Also monitor your blood count at every 15 days.

Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
