Suggest Treatment For Reoccurring Small Cuts On Foreskin

default
Posted on Tue, 24 Feb 2015
Question: For the past year I have been getting reoccurring small cuts on my foreskin sometimes I go a week or two but then they return. I have tried a few creams and ointments but nothing seems to be the cure. I did have a yeast infection when this all started which was hard to cure but eventually got it under control. The foreskinn tends to dry out then crack.

Brief Answer:
Foreskin care and conservative management will suffice

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Foreskin is a richly supplied area with sebaceous glands and excessive friction like coitus and self touching etc predispose it to many problems including yours of cuts and bruises.

It is a challenge some times to manage this foreskin abrasions due to repetitive trauma in guise of coitus and other frictional pleasures.

the best of all remedy which works like charm is modifying coital and toilet habits, keeping the area hair free wearing loose undergarments, abstaining from any intimacy till full recovery and after that full protection while doing it, applications of topical hydrocortisone creams as well as anti fungals, use of lubricants to prevent cracks and sores, no manipulation like popping, poking or picking is allowed.

The best of all remedies is getting rid of foreskin in guise of therapeutic circumcisions as that resolves most of the issues permanently. If you feel like therapeutic circumcision is too much to swallow here, you may start from conservative options with modifications above mentioned plus vertical incisions, hyaluronidase and osmotic methods etc. You should consult a urologist or a plastic surgeon and let them sort it out for you.

I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
