Question : I have this pain for 3 days, its throbbing and on the right side just under the collar bone but above the breast, inline with my neck. Its throbbing or feels like a pulsating pain, its there most of the day and definitely at night. I thought it might be arthritis, but I have never injured this side of my body. I'm 50 female about 195 lbs, 6 foot tall, no longer have my gallbladder. So don't know what this is... Help.

Does it pain on touching ( is it tender )?
Are you having breathing difficulties or chest pain other than this particular site?
Are you having any symptoms of Acid reflux?
Do you smoke or consuse liquor?
do you take any medicine
Do you have any family history of heart disease ?

Meanwhile you can take ibuprofen for pain relief along with anti acidity medicine like pantoprazole or ranitidine group of drugs for 3 to 5.days.
you can also apply hot packs or hot fomentation with hot water bottle.
