Suggest Treatment For Scab On Outer Ear Canal

Question: Hi,
I have what feels like a scab on the outer ear canal. It's been there for a while. When I felt it first (probably a year or two ago) I thought it was just a scab and I picked it. It got flatter and I didn't think about it until now. It's beginning to flair up and crust. If I rub my ear, there is discomfort and sometimes it will bleed. It actually is beginning to hurt my ear like an ear infection would. I took a picture of it with my phone and it looks like a thick scab with small boils all over it. I'm not sure what it could be.
