Question : Hello Doc, I have been itch in my perineum, mostly over my scrotum. it has formed some lumpy buy sweilling with some tender discoloration. its been itching four couple weeks now, i will add a picture of rash. please advice what can i do for it. i been also having similar itch on my other parts of body it has not presented with any swelling. i am currently taking statin 20mg no other drugs.

Hi

I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same.
I have seen the attached pictures.
You seem to have developed an infection of scabies .
This can lead to severe itching along with development of itchy nodules over the scrotum and penile region along with itchy rashes over rest of the body .
You might need treatment with topical anti scabies agents like permethrin.
So I would advise you to see a nearby doctor soon for prescription of the same .
For the time being ,take some oral antihistamines like levocetrizine once daily at night to relieve the itching.
