Question : Dr XXXXXXX heijebu.Good evening Sir.My Sister is behaving abnormally since 6 months.She is not taking bath.She is using abusing language and hurting everyone in the house.She is having bad remarks at her Office and left her job 2 weeks ago.S he is constantly muttering to herself.Need your guidance

I can certainly understand your concern.

I have worked through your query in detail.

As per your description, your sister probably seem to have a psychiatric illness.

The position of Paranoid type of Schizophrenia is high in her case.

This requires an early treatment with antipsychotic medications.

I generally prescribe oral pills of Olanzapine and Haloperidol for 1month, with a subsequent monthly follow ups for 1-2 years to my patients.

This treatment will help to resolve her odd behaviours and improve her social interaction.

Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these pills to her.
