Multifactorial causes, multigene interaction and environmental influences

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using Healthcaremagic to post your health query.
I read carefully your question.

I am sorry to hear about your daughter and all you are going through, because it can be a problem that all the family has to be involved in a way.
Psychotic disorders and Schizophrenia has many many theories for the causes of it, but not really one who would for sure explain it- multifactorial, with multigene interaction and environmental influences in a susceptible person.

The evidences had found that generally it starts in the age range 15-30 years/old and the younger the person is, the worse it course will be.

Not being able to find a cause, has lead also to difficulty of treating it finally, and so these patients would need constant medications, and also would have constant reacutisations.

I don't know if I answered your question, but I hope I helped clarify you a bit. Feel free to ask again, if you have any other thing that needs clarifications.

Regards,
Dr. Papaqako
