Question : my mother is having sciatic pain for the past few weeks doctors have given medicine but the pain does not goes away
would like to know treatment option for speedy recovery

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Sciatica that is refractory to drugs can be managed by physiotherapy and surgery.
Many drugs that are used for sciatica require prescription and hence cannot be prescribed here.
For my patients, i would prescribe Tab flexabenz plus once a day, to be taken at 7 pm dialy. You may need a precription to get this drug.
Ask her to sleep on firm bed, avoid frequent sitting and standing or bending. Absolute bed rest will help.
You may try physiotherapy to back as it can really help some patients recover fast.
If there is no relief yet, consult a spine specialist who may see the possible requirement of surgery, the last option.
