Brief Answer:
SSNHL may not have complete recovery

Detailed Answer:
Hello ,
I have seen your reports and noted that you have sensorineural hearing loss.

I also happened to see that your treating doctor is the renowned Dr PUSULKAR. He is a very competent doctor and experienced too. So you are in very good hands. Do not worry.

From your description I feel that you have suffered from what is known as sudden sensorineural hearing loss ( SSNHL).
For SSNHL steroids and complamina are given.
Antivirals like acyclovir are also tried by many doctors.

Treatment for SSNHL is not always successful and recovery can be 0% to 100%.
Younger individuals in good health usually have better results.
You have recovered 50% and you may show some improvement in the next few days to weeks but complete recovery may or may not occur.
Only time will tell.

Please maintain positive attitude and hope for the best.
There is no other treatment for this condition.
If you end up with some residual hearing loss then do not worry you can opt for a hearing aid.

Regards,
Dr Rajkishori Godhi.

Brief Answer:
tiinitus will go away in some time

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
With time tinnitus will settle.
Tinnitus can be very unsettling am I empathize with you.
Do not pay too much attention to the tinnitus, it will seem to get louder if you pay attention to it.
You can also play the radio at low volume while you are sleeping, so it will mask the sound from the tinnitus.
There is no other treatment for tinnitus. If it persists talk to your doctor about tinnitus maskers.
Regards,
Dr Rajkishori Godhi.
