Question : for the last couple of months I have had severe lower abdominal bloating and periodic pain, which seems worse around menstruation. For the last week or two I have now had chest pain and have noticed swelling around my left armpit… I am so worried!! I also have been feeling very anxious lately… but could be due to these health issues? Could this be something serious?
also have a very sore lower back and upper back area

Brief Answer:
Infective aetiology (Process).

Detailed Answer:
welcome to Health care magic.
Dr Ganesh.

1.If you are my patient i would have first examined and ask for an ultrasound examination of abdomen and pelvis ( that will grossly help in reaching the pathology) and axillary region scan ( left arm pit) - which will give the nature of the swelling, its source and extensions. And a lumbar spine AP/LAT for back pain evaluation.

2. If lump is painful on touch, redness i would suspect a bacterial infection ( hair follicular infection ) which do give a radiating pain (passing through pain ) to the chest. If its pain less it can be a lymph nodal enlargement ( this will happens in presence of any infection / inflammation within the body).

3.Pelvic scan will help in evaluation of the uterus, ovaries and cause for painful periods.

4. Yes your anxious could be due to health issue - don't worry, there is nothing very serious, every thing will be fine once find the cause.

5.Get an appointment request for the needful tests done.

Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
