Thanks for your response. Well I have been taking anti biotics for Urinary tract infection from time to time since last year and i was thinking i was free from it, not until i started feeling heavy pains in my abdomen and i usually have this pressing urge to urinate and after discharging the urine, it would be like 10 drops. I asked couple of friends who are medical doctor but dont like their sevices, they also said its a bladder infection and i was asked to use the following drugs but i want to be sure they are right or wrong. Tabs ciprotab- TN, 1 twice dly for 5days .

Tabs kotase 2 three times for 5days

Tabs panadol 2 threetimes for 5days .

Please, i also forgot to tell you that i had a sour on the opening of my penis.....

1...Maybe 3 months or more as i used to think it was just a normal pain until it started becaming painful and very serious....

2...No, there was a slight burning but not too much.

3....Yes, fever and chills.

4...No, diabetes nor i have any of these things.

Thanks and God bless you

Brief Answer:
Clinical evaluation and tests to get the correct primary diagnosis.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
Noted that you have recurrent urinary tract infection and if fever with chills is present this may be a matter a concern and needs proper investigations to go to the root cause. You also have a sore at the opening of penis.

I would advise you the following:
- First of all, send a sample of urine for tests of : routine, microscopy, culture and sensitivity.
- Tests of blood particularly CBC, kidney function tests.
- Ultrasonography of the whole abdomen.
- Intravenous Pyelography.

- Consult an Urologist for further clinical evaluation, further investigations like cysto-urethroscopy and as advised by him.
- Curative treatment needs that you take the course of antibiotic as suggested by culture and sensitivity report at least for 3 weeks. This can help you to get eradication of infection.
-Treatment of the primary causes if any like stones, strictures, prostatitis and as may be found finally on clinical evaluation and investigations.

It is mandatory to find the primary cause. I do not believe in your friend's treatment until the cause is found in a recurrent UTI. If you are sexually active, your partner too needs to be investigated and treated accordingly to get a permanent cure.

I hope this answer helps you to get an early diagnosis and proper curative treatment.
