Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Pain When Diagnosed With Endometriosis

Question : I have been perimenopausal for about a year now. Recently my last period was approximately 8 months ago. I started bleeding last Tuesday and have moderate to severe pain on my right side with moderate bleeding. I have a PMHx of endometriosis of which I have had 7 lap surgeries. Is this normal or should I be concerned given the amount of pain?

Irregular and heavy to moderate bleeding is common in the perimenopausal period.
However, the bleeding in the perimenopausal period is generally painless.
Pain in the abdomen can be due to endometriosis, cyst or pelvic infection.
Therefore, I will suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated including ultrasound and get further treatment accordingly.
