Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns
I am sorry to hear that you are having abdominal pain from pancreatitis. This is due to several causes either alcohol use, high cholesterol and triglycerides or from a gallstone blocking the pancreatic duct. If you drink any alcohol you need to stop immediately. Drinking any more alcohol could put you cause more damage to your pancreas and possibly even death.
The next most common cause is high triglycerides and fro this you need to start cholesterol lowering medications.
If it due to a stone blocking the pancreatic duct you need to see a surgeon or a gastroenterologist to remove the stone.
While you decide on what to do stop alcohol and reduce your eating. Every time you eat your pancreas releases enzymes and will increase your pain. My recommendation for you is to go to the hospital and be thoroughly tested and treated as pancreatitis is a very serious condition and needs close monitoring.
I hope I answered your question. Please contact us again if you have any additional questions
