Question: Hi Doctor,
My mother is having pain in her stomach frequently. She had undergone USG and the doctor said that she has fatty liver and asked her to avoid oily food. She vomited very badly one day but, that happened only once.
Any suggestions/medication/precautions in this regard would be helpful.

Regards,

Brief Answer:
Fatty liver shouldn't be the cause.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting the query,

The fatty liver doesn't cause the pain in the abdomen very frequently.
Once vomiting should also not be concerned of.
where exactly is the pain located?
Is it in the lower abdomen or left or right?
Does it have any relation with food intake?
Does she gets any regurgitation?

if so you can give her one course of Tab. Rabeprazole 2 times a day for 2 days.

Worm infestation also cause the recurrent pain abdomen.
I usually treat all the patients with pain abdomen in my practice with a single dose of ALBENDAZOLE. 1 tablet to be taken in the night.

Any issue do follow up.
Take care.
