Brief Answer:
Explained

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome

I appreciate your concern

Omeprazole is a PPI which is very much effective in treating symptoms of GERD. You should continue it. My advise would be to add a pro kinetic like metoclopramide or domeperidone with it. OTC meds to counter GERD would include Antacids at best. You can try them. Polycrol and Mucaine are two products which are effective. Both are in syrup form and contain antacids. They may be available by a different brand name in your local pharmacy.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
