Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
You are reporting to have fast heart rate, acidity and feel sick 1 hour after meal.
Your symptoms may be related with :
- acid reflux
- gastritis/stomach ulcer
If I were your treating doctor I would recommend to do :
- upper endoscopy as soos as possible
- abdominal ultrasound
Acid reflux can cause fast heart rate. You can start to use atenolol instead of propranolol.
The reason why I recommend to do upper endoscopy as soon as possible is the fact that you have lost 12 lbs recently. This sing need to be evaluated together with other your symptoms.
Meantime I suggest to :
- use protonix up to 80 mg per day
- use zantac 300 mg at bed time
- eat often and small amount of meal
- eat 3-4 hours before going to bed
- avoid spicy and chilly foods
- use two pillows when you lay down
Hope it was helpful to you!

Im pretty taking all those meds now but still in alot pain. It is getting diffcult to even eat toast. After eating toast my stomach was in total pain first hour and half. And now it just painful and feels bloated. How am i going to even get in enough calories today? Plus i was using carafate. I called my local gi doc he wants to scope me friday but what do i do if i cant intake fluids or food anymore (too painful). I dont think its safe to stave for 2 days and then go under anesthesia without knowing what my electrolytes are. Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.

Hi back

With regards to anesthesia don't worry because it is not an anesthesia but a mild sedation and the doctor will help you with IV fluids and electrolytes if it will be necessary.

If I were your treating doctor i would recommend to take care of your diet these two days like:
- use fresh fruits
- use soap
- eat often and small amount of meal
- avoid fried foods
- use liquids with electrolytes
To my opinion it's great that you will meet Gi doctor on Friday. I am waiting news from you.

Hope it was helpful to.
