Suggest Treatment For Severe Anal Itching

Question : I am37 years old female. I am having itching in the anus area. I had taken a pill 48 days back prescribed here .(see attachment). it heLped to some extent but I still feel itchy. I am hypothyroid and take 100 mg of thyronorm daily.

I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) This itch could be due to yeast infection.

2) I dont see any attachments here. Please upload or type the medicine if possible.

3) I suggests you use any antifungal ointment available over the counter to apply in local area for curing this.

4) Meanwhile I suggest you wash the itching area twice a day ( morning and evening) with soap and warm water and dry it immediately after wards. This will help in treating fungal infection and give you relief from itching.

Albendazole helps in deforming and it's is enough for one dose. Repeat dose not required.

Anyway taking it again is no harm if it gives relief.
