Question : I've been diagnosed with depression/anxiety disorder but also suffering from fibromyalgia etc. Currently I feel I can harm someone else, but I rather harm myself. Just thoughts no actions and no conversations going on. What ca n I do?
I feel guilty for thinking those terrible things.I am also perimenopausal, My hormones are really on guard. The important take away is I don't intend to harm anyone or myself...The feeling is there but I will never act out my thoughts. Ok I'm waiting for an answer.

Hello, and thanks for your question.

I'm sorry you're feeling this way. What you are describing is likely consistent with a major depressive episode. This can be effectively treated with a combination of antidepressant medication and psychotherapy. Are you currently taking Celexa? What dose? Are you currently seeing a therapist? If so, how often?

Yes I'm taking Celexa daily, I don't know the dose currently but I take it faithfully. No I'm not seeing a therapist, because I can't afford going to one. I just read or listen to music to escape the episode and later discuss with my aunt. I'm keeping my distance as far as being around her and anyone else.

Okay. I strongly recommend consulting with your prescribing doctor to increase the dose of Celexa. The maximum daily dose is 40mg, which you should slowly increase to eventually target. This will help you feel better.
