Question: I recently received a hand job at a massage parlour. I don't believe I contracted any std as there was no vaginal/oral/anal however I am suffering from huge anxiety and I believe I am manifesting some symptoms with a penis thy feels wet and cold but upon inspection, nothing. I have been incessantly inspecting my penis tip and I may be causing some grief in that regard

How likely is it to receive an std from a hand job?

Brief Answer:
Very unlikely

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

please do not expect numbers or percentages because you won't find any, with enough credibility. I can assure you that the risk of transmission is extremely low. Herpes could be a concern if she had lesions on her fingers or palm. HIV could be a concern if she had a bleeding wound. HPV could also be transmitted but contact with a lesion is also required. etc...

All of the above conditions are very rare and your risk for contracting anything is close to zero!

I hope you find this reassuring enough!

Kind Regards!

Would anxiety be playing a big part in so far as my mind tells me hat my penis feels cold/wet but upon repeated inspection there has bee no discharge and urinating seems to be ok.

Can repeated touching of penis tip inflame the urethra?

Brief Answer:
anxiety seems to play a huge part!

Detailed Answer:
The more you think about it, the worse the symptoms could get. The mucosal surfaces of the penis are indeed very sensitive and handling them may result in various degrees of discomfort. Try to avoid checking every so often. If you did catch anything (which is hard to believe), you're going to develop symptoms, so the symptoms will guide you. The symptoms may include visible lesions (like ulcers or blisters), discomfort with urination, white fluid (pus) coming out of the urethra in the morning before urinating, etc

Kind Regards!

Any strategies to deal with the anxiety?

Brief Answer:
I couldn't suggest a prescription for that...

Detailed Answer:
You're welcome...
I couldn't get more specific about it. You'd better consult your doctor for that. I could suggest drugs for anxiety but it wouldn't be right since this is not a real visit and/or clinical assessment.

Kind Regards!
