Brief Answer:
Physiotherapy to add...
Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,
I have gone through your medical history carefully and am sorry for the painful situation you are going through.
Prednisone is a good choice to treat polymyalgia rheumatica. However,in cases where pain persists, then other alternatives like Plaquenil are advised.
I hope that will work for you. You should be patient as it's effect will be notable a few weeks or months starting Plaquenil.
If I was your caring doctor would recommend physiotherapy as it is an excellent adjuvant in reading the pain. Can discuss with a physiotherapist to schedule your next appointment.
All the best.
