Question: I am on morph sulf 15IR every 2 hours and 30 mg er 3 times a day plus 10 mg of Valium 3 times a day. Valium severe tmj. Morph for ruptured disc & 3 compressed discs in my neck. I also have 3 ruptured discs &3 compressed discs in my lower back. I also have 2 broken hips. These injuries are from being hit by a drunk driver running a red light. When they did an MRI in prep for surgery, why I do not know, but the anasesialogest, not even asking my name, put me completely under sedation. All I wanted was something to calm me since I survived a plane crash. I have severe anemia. I tried to fight off the mistake and when I came to 4 hours later, I was on oxygen and still am. Am told morph compresses my lungs. What else can I take for severe pain? Due to back pain, can only stand 5-8 minutes without crawling to my lazy_boy in time. I read a lot, have 3 bachlor's &3 Masters degrees, most in science.I'm not eating bob-bond & watching tv all day. I also setup and run a non-profit for vets.. Get me off this oxygen, please.

Brief Answer:
May I see your CT scan of thorax?

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, possibility of morphine induced lung damage is more.
This can cause pulmonary fibrosis and this will cause oxygen need.
Can you please show me your recent CT thorax report and film?
I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
