Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
Examination of the back / spine , upper and lower limbs should be done. X ray of the dorsal spine can be advised. If no significant compression or other serious cause is noted then NSAIDs such as Piroxicam, muscle relaxants like tizanidine and in severe cases gabapentin should be added. Most likely the back pain will subside with these medication. If it persists then an MRI can be considered in consultation with your doctor to determine the cause.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks

Hello again.
Naproxen is an NSAID. Steroid shot alone wont work as the cause needs to be determined if its not responding to the anti inflammatory meds. An x ray of the dorsal spine involving the pain should at least be done, initially.
Thanks
