Question : hello doctor ,
My son is 3 years old. He is active and roams around and plays well during the day . While before sleeping and during the mid of the sleep, he complains of backache problem severely. Also pain in the legs below knee. He is a normal born male child, without any diseases.Particularly during middle of the night ,he wakes up and cries for severe backache pain. While one doctor suggested Ibugesic would like to check whether it is the right medicine or right treatment. Seeking further guidance.

Brief Answer:
Ibugesic right medicine but physical therapy needed.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone very carefully through the mentioned details. Ibugesic is the right medicine to reduce pain and can be given. But the cause of the pain concerns me. It could be that the child had suffered from a lack of oxygen around the time of birth thus leading to neuronal injury and reducing the inhibitory control of the brain over the muscles. This could lead to muscle spasms which could be the cause of the pain he is suffering. In that case you should consult a physical therapist and the right exercises will help him reduce the problem.

Hope that helps.
