Question : hi,
i am in 14thweek of pregnancy and was advised to undergo LFT as i had itching all over my body. i gave sample just after having breakfast, but came to know that 12 hrs fasting is required for it?
do i need to give the sample again?

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
Liver function test should ideally be done in fasting state, as meals can alter the liver enzyme levels slightly.
However, there is not marked difference.
You need not give a repeat sample, as the variation is not much and will not affect the further treatment.
