Brief Answer:
Quit smoking as soon as possible.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Possibility of COPD (chronic obstructive Pulmonary disease) is more in your case.
So better to quit smoking as soon as possible.
Consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system
2. PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
PFT will not only diagnose COPD but I will also tell you about severity of the disease.
And treatment is based on severity only.
Duolin is having levosalbutamol and ipratropium. Both are short acting beta 2 agonist (SABA).
Their action last for 2-3 hours only.
Instead of Duolin, you should take long acting inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (budesonide or fluticasone).
These will give control for long duration (12 hours).
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
