Question : Hi,
I m having chest congestion for the last 15 days. I had Althrocin 500 for first 5 days and then augminton 625 , 3 tablets a day for 9 days along with Allegra , Deriphillin and nebuliser twice a day with bodacort and Duolin for almost 9 days. Still the problem persists like 50%. I hv cough coming and wheezing sound in breathing. Pls suggest

Welcome to healthcare magic and thanks for putting up the query
As per your complaints, you have chest infection..you are already taking appropriate medicines..my advise is to continue antibiotics for another 5 days to complete 2 weeks..rest of the medicines should also be continued..instead of allegra take a decongestant tablet that contains ambroxol and phenylephrine plus levocetrizine twice daily..it will thin down the secretions and will aid in faster relief.. Take an expectorant cough syrup 2 spoons 3 times everyday
all medicines are available only on prescription
Also take steam inhalation..
It usually6 takes upto 3 weeks for all signs and symptoms of pneumonia to disappear..
