Suggest Treatment For Severe Cold

more information required
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing on Healthcaremagic. I am sorry to hear that your little child has caught cold. Most of such infections are viral in origin. I would ask you a few questions:
1. Weight of the baby
2. Whether the baby is exclusively breast fed
3. Any fever or reduction in activities? Is the baby feeding well?
It would have been best if I could listen to the chest of the baby. I would insist you to visit a pediatrician and get him treated. Treatment is simple. Nebulization might be required if the child has wheezing. The home alternative of the same would be steam inhalation. Some antiallergic drops like levocetirizine would also be helpful. If fever is present it has to be treated with paracetamol. Blood tests have to be done if the child becomes lethargic or does not take feeds well. Please revert back with the details and I would help you.

Antiallergic and steam inhalation suggested
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. If the child is breast fed exclusively, as you mention, there is less to worry, more so as the baby is otherwise well. You may give Syrup Relent 2.5 ml once a day for a few days. Try to sit with the baby in your lap and a source of steam before you. The water vapour will be in the air and the baby will automatically breathe it in. Continue breast feeding. Things would be fine in a few days.

Both can be given
Detailed Answer:
You may give T-minic drops instead of Relent syrup. The purpose is the same. Nasoclear is saline drops and is intended to be given whenever you suspect a nasal block. You can use both of thesse
