Lubricant laxative along with high fiber dried fruits
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If you want very quick relief of hard stool you should consider taking a mineral oil laxative or lubricant laxative available at any pharmacy. The best route is enema if the stool is stuck in the rectum, else you can take it orally. Start with lowest dose else you may have two to three quick defecation urges including incontinence. If you ask the pharmacist there, they can suggest you the over the counter brands for enema route or oral route. E.g: GoLytely, GlycoLax, CoLyte
However, to soften stool and prevent hardness, you should choose high fiber dried and fresh fruits like apricots, apples, plums at least 2 to 3 servings a day.
I hope this helps.
