Suggest Treatment For Severe Constipation While On Hydrocodone

Question: I have been suffering with severe constipation. This started after I had surgery on my neck about 2 months ago. the new medicines that have been added are hydrocodone 10/325, Hematinic plus, Dulcolax stool softner, and Colon Health Probiotic. The Stool color is clay like and black.

There are many causes of Constipation but in your case it is due to the use of Hydrocodone.

Hydrocodone is giving for pain relief, if there is no significant pain I would recommend you to stop Hydrocodone. But if still there is pain consult your doctor and get a alternative for Hydrocodone.

The color of your stool is due to the hematinic plus you are taking and there is nothing to be of concerned.
