Brief Answer:
severe constipation with diverticulitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I am sorry you are having this condition. You are on great medications for treating diverticulitis but the constipation is serious and needs to be resolved soon.
I suggest that you go to the pharmacy and buy a Fleet's enema and some milk of magnesia. Take one dose of the Milk of Magnesia (MOM) right away and give yourself the enema.
If no results by tomorrow call your doctor's office for urgent appointment. If the MOM and enema do not produce any results then take another dose of MOM tonight.
If the pain is severe or if you have any fever or vomiting then you may have some bowel obstruction and would need to go to Emergency right away.
I hope you get some relief soon,
Regards,
Dr. Robinson
