Question : I have coughing from 7 days , it is big when IHAVE cough after I HAVE BURN IN CHEST.HIGHT BLAAD PRESION 240 WITH 130 . PR bmp140, rednes, hiperemi pain dhe hand end foot sometime. I was treated 2time s first I TAKE AZITHROMICIN 250 MG FOR 5 DAYS ,BENZONATATE 200 MG 3TIME IN THE DAY. BAT YESTEDAY I WENT IN THE EMERGENCY THE DOKTOR SAD MI IHAVE BRONCHITIS VIRAL ,NON USE BL LENZONATE BEGIN PREDNISONE 60 MG FOR 5 DAYS, XREY,EKG OF HEART ARE NORMAL BUT WHEN I HAVE COUGH I AM VERY BAD . SORRY ,I AM HERE SINCE 5 MONTH , I AM NEFROLLOGIST AND IAM UPSET WHAT I DO. I HAVE HIIPERTENSIONE AND MEDICATION ARE ,LISONOPRIL , COREG ,CAR VEDILOL 3.125 MG,PREDNISONE 60 MG ORALLY .CAN I USED ORAL EXPECTORANT , IHAVE WORKED FOR 37 YEARS IN HOSPITAL BUT I HAVE NOT SEEN ANIBADY SAME ME . WHAT I DO.THANKS.

The viral bronchitis that you have had, has made your airways sensitive which is causing cough. Besides, You are taking lisinopril which is an ACE Inhibitor and they are known to cause cough. You should complete the course of oral steroids and take inhalers like salmetrol +fluticasone combination. Take a tablet of monteleukast lc daily. Ask your doctor to change your bp medicine from lisinopril to something else. With all these measures you will be fine soon.
