Question : I have a deep chest cough but a temperature of 97.6. Does that sound like viral bronchitis? Also have a history of bronchitis and pneumonia. I'm a non-smoker with plenty of allergies.

Brief Answer:
Sounds like viral bronchitis!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for contacting us.

I have reviewed your information fully and this is suggestive of a possible viral infection of the upper respiratory airways. I will suggest that you discontinue deslym and continue with Dayquil. cough is protective and I will mot want to suppress that at this time unless the cough causes significant limitation to your work/life. Drink much water, eat healthy, exercise often and maintain a positive attitude. You should feel well in 5-7days again unless something else sets in.

I hope this addresses your worry. I wish you well and glad to welcome further questions and exchanges if need be.
