Question : I have had a cough for tomorrow will be two weeks, it is not as bad as before but just will not go away. No mucus or fever, just a cough that even over the counter medication does seem to help. Feeling tired but not achy.

Hi,

It is not uncommon to see cough persisting this long especially after a spell of virus / allergy. If the severity is abated and if you do not bring out thick sputum with the cough, I will not be concerned. You may continue mucinex for a few more days. Other prescription cough suppressant / bronchodilator syrups are available on prescription if the current spell is affecting your daily activity.

This cough should settle down by a week. So stay positive.

You may also consider staring vitamin C supplements to boost immunity and healing.
