Question : My son is close to four now. He has severe caugh and wheeze and sometimes fever. He has been suggested 4 puffs is of levolin and 2 puffs of buedecort 4 times daily. But inspite of that he has heavy caugh and especially while sleeping he is able to sleep with little caugh only when we give astalin syrup. Else only with puffs he has very heavy caugh. Can we give puff and syrup at same time. doctors asking only to give puffs as he has light tremor while holding objects. But till last year winter he was reacting to puffs but not this year.. I am worried for this. Can I give both puff and syrup. Or what should I do now to control his heavy caugh. Am very much worried for his non response.
Brief Answer:
Dont use both syrup and puff
Detailed Answer:
Hi...USE ONLY PUFF...YOUR DOCTOR IS RIGHT.
You can in addition give him Syrup Benadryl Cough Formula at 5ml thrice a day for 3 day and try.
But do not give Levolin as both syrup and puff.
