Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough, Chest Congestion And Fever In A Child

My 3 year old daughter is suffering from cough, chest congestion and fever since yesterday early morning. She is not letting us measure her temperature, but by touch we can tell it is around 102 deg F. Since yesterday I have been giving her Crocin DS syrup every 6 hours or so for fever. Today I started giving her 3.5 ml of Ventorlin syrup every 8 hours. Her weight is around 14 kg. Please advise if this is the correct medication. We have given her steam as well.
Thanks and regards,
XXXX
Looks like viral illness with wheeze - you are on right track
Detailed Answer:
Hi.... I understand your concern.
You are on the right track of the treatment.
Please continue the same treatment and if the kid is not getting better in another 24 hours I suggest you consult your pediatrician regarding this.
Paracetamol can be given in the dose of 15mg/kg/dose (maximum ceiling dose of 500mg) every 4-6th hourly that too only if fever is more than 100F. I suggest not using combination medicines for fever, especially with Paracetamol.
You can give Crocin DS 5 ml every 4 or 6 hourly if the temperature is more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ventorlin is in the right dose.
Please stop steam inhalation as it will irritate the child and increase the cough.
