Question: I now have a lot of coughing. At first the cough brings up clear phlegm with totally clear tiny bubbles. At the beginning these tine bubbles are held together. Then, as the coughing continues the bubbles get bigger and finally there is one really really large clear bubble. the coughing stops for a little break and then starts again.

Brief Answer:
It could be due to heart ailment or allergy

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

Thanks for posting your query on HCM.

You have not mentioned certain things of importance that i would like to know.

Do you have any allergy/asthma issues? Is the cough aggravated with dust/smoke and is there any seasonal variation? What is your heart condition for which you are taking all those medicines mentioned by you and do you also have breathlessness? Are you a smoker?

First of all get your heart checked with your cardiologist to rule out any heart failure as cough and liquidish phlegm could be because of heart failure. The cough could also be due to allergy and you may take a montair lc daily along with an inhaler called symbicort/aerocort 2 puffs twice a day. Avoid exposure to dust/smoke/ extreme cold temperatures and stop smoking if you do.

If all these measures do not help, you may have to consult your PCP or preferrably a local pulmonologist.

Take care.
