I don't have any images except that its a deep purple in color. No fever that I can tell and the affected area does not feel hot, just somewhat painful to the touch.
Brief Answer:
Coagulation studies have to be carried out in the absence of trauma
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Spontaneous bruises could suggest coagulation disorders.
It's important to get tested for coagulation studies like PT( prothrombin time) and CT ( clotting time).
Additionally it's advisable to consider a short course of oral antibiotics to prevent infection.
Likewise blood pressure has to be reassessed.
Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these medications and tests to you.
Post your further questions if any
